Jim Bob HowardJim Bob and his bride, Amy, have been homeschooling since 2002, when their oldest son turned 5. He's now 13 and their youngest is 5, with two in between.

Jim Bob served as Editor-in-Chief of Homeschooling Today magazine and the Highlands Study Center's Every Thought Captive, and Amy wrote as part of the Molly Green's Money-Saving Digest blogging team.

Always looking for ways to save money as their family grew, the Howards began couponing in late 2008 and sliced $1000 off their grocery spending the first month. In one year, they saved almost $19,000 on their grocery bill.   His freebie to our listeners can be found here.

The six Howards live in the Austin area, where Jim Bob is also a freelance writer and a web developer for a local physicians group, and the whole family is active in the homeschool community.
